Nursery and Reception Highlights

This week in Nursery we have been exploring different maps, creating maps and miniature worlds to play in. We have looked at real maps and fairy tales. To extend our Talk for Writing, we have been mapping out the story of Rapunzel on our story S structure and using 'voice choice' to retell the story with expression. We have also been learning about hygiene and why we need to shower and brush our teeth at home.

This week in Reception the children went on their half termly trip to the library. They had a great time listening to adults reading to them their chosen book. In Science, the children learnt about the states of matter through carrying out an experiment using oil, food colouring, water and golden syrup. On Tuesday, the children learnt about how to stay safe online and what to do if they need help and are unsure.
