Year One and Two Highlights
Back
Year 1 have been exploring the fascinating world of 2D shapes, identifying their properties, and developing a deeper understanding of shape. In Talk for Writing, they have dived into ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’, embracing new and challenging vocabulary along the way. Their History lessons have sparked curiosity about life before railways, discovering how people travelled in earlier times. In Science, Year 1 have been investigating seasonal changes and learning about appropriate clothing choices for each season.
This week Year 2 celebrated Ramnath Biswas’s birthday. They found out about his travels around the world on a bicycle, calling himself the Hindu Traveller, and used a map to follow his routes. They also designed a cycling jersey for him.
