Welcome back to a new term! We hope you had a well-deserved and restful break, filled with joy and relaxation. This week, our young scientists in Year 5 delved into the fascinating properties of solids, liquids, and gases. In Computing, we explored the creative world of Scratch, where the children will code in an accessible and engaging way. They will learn the fundamentals of programming, fostering problem-solving skills and creativity along the way. In PE, the focus this week was on gymnastics and building physical strength and flexibility by creating bridges. The children embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, improving their coordination and teamwork skills.

This term Year 6 are moving on to some more topics. They include diving into the Victorian era and exploring how it shaped our local area and Slough. In Science we are looking at light and how we see, including learning about the structure of our eyes. On Wednesday, Bowie Class celebrated their class birthday in style! The children came dressed as their favourite musicians, bringing the spirit of music alive. They even created their own music! We’re looking forward to another fantastic term filled with learning, creativity, and growth. Please ensure children bring their laptops fully charged each day. Weekly homework is set through Teams and must be completed on time. Thank you for your continued support!
