Year One and Two Highlights

Year 1 have had the best start to the new term. To start off the term, we were lucky enough to play outside in the snow. We have begun learning about their new text ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’, and have created our own town out of spaghetti and marshmallows. After this, we read the book together. We also have begun our learning about Shapes by exploring different 3D shapes.

This week Year 2 were introduced to their new topic based on the painting ‘The Fighting Temeraire’ by JMW Turner. They found out about the artist and discussed what they liked about the painting. Then they tried to recreate the painting using pastels.
