Nursery and Reception Highlights

This week in Nursery we have been very busy getting into the festive spirit. We have created paperchains, snowflakes and decorations for our Nursery Christmas tree. We even made the star for the top of the tree using natural resources from our garden. In Talk for Writing, we have been practising our story map and using what we know about storytelling to make new stories and in Geography, we have been learning all about forests and why trees are important.

This week in Reception we have been learning about how to use a map and the purpose of a map. In Talk for Writing the children have been changing the story map, they changed the animal and the habitat so that they can create their own stories. The children visited the library and they listened to an adult read them a story and they got to choose a book to read.
