Year One and Two Highlights

Year 1 have been innovating the story ‘Paper Bag Princess’ and have used adjectives to describe characters. They have been showing their understanding of ‘1 less’ and ‘1 more’ by using manipulatives and ten frames. In Geography they have been labelling aerial maps as well as using 2D shapes to represent objects.

For science this half term, Year 2 have been investigating the properties of materials and looking at why specific materials are used to make different items. After carrying out various experiments to test properties of different materials, the children were challenged to make a coat hanger that would support the weight of a jumper.
