Nursery and Reception Highlights

In Nursery this week, we have been taking about the different families and communities we belong to. We have been talking about our ‘home family’ and our ‘TLAP family’ alongside the meaning of the word family. We have been practising counting this week, singing lots of counting songs. We have been taking turns with our new class responsibility, taking the register to the office, and learning how to put our coats on by ourselves.

This week Reception have been writing a letter to someone telling them what they have been enjoying doing at school. In Maths, the children have been learning about, size and mass. The children are continuing to count objects and match to the correct numeral. In topic the children have been practising their drawing skills through drawing self-portraits and pictures of aliens.
