Year One and Two Highlights

Year 1 have enjoyed designing story maps for the story 'The Paper Bag Princess' and have started looking at sentence construction using colourful semantics. We have been using different objects to represent numbers and have worked together to label body parts and organs. We have started looking at aerial maps in Geography and have started learning about Christianity in our R.E lesson.

This week the children were introduced to their first book for Year 2, The Pirates Next Door by Jonny Duddle. They were practising ordering number to 100 in Maths and have been learning the names of the 7 continents in geography. In Science they were investigating the properties of materials.
