This week in Year 3, we had an excellent time learning about the history of the Olympics. We learned that the Olympics have been around since ancient Greece but was revived in the late Victorian age. We mapped the cities in which the Olympics took place. We were practicing for our sprinting and relays, rotated around activities lead by the secondary school pupils, and met a professional netballer.

Year 4 have been working very hard during Sports week and taking part in their Discovery Days. The children created their own football team and put their Maths skills to the test whilst using different strategies for addition and subtraction. The children also explored the past Olympic games during Geography, and they mapped out the journey of the Olympic Torch. Year 4 also enjoyed taking part in their House activities by making banners and decorations for their parade during Sports Day. The children worked well in their House teams by supporting each other and cheering each other on.
