Nursery and Reception Highlights

This week, Nursery have been working hard to care for our little duckling friends, making sure they have food, water and can go for a swim regularly to clean themselves. We arrived at school on Monday to find all of the walls were covered in brown paper. Later in the day, we found out why. Year 3 came down to visit and taught us all about cave paintings and how to create cave art. This was perfect timing, as we have started our new class text this week 'Cave Baby' by Julia Donaldson.

This week Reception went on an adventure to Africa! We explored lots of different artefacts including drums, clothes, patterns, instruments, a tea pot and some animals! We tried some fruits grown in Kenya and have been creating flags and writing stories about animals in free flow. We have also been expanding our Maths vocabulary with our learning about amounts that are more than, fewer than or equal to each other.
