Year Five and Six Highlights
BackIt has been another busy week in Year 5. The children have started to innovate their text map on the House of Wisdom. It has been great to see how creative the children have been when embellishing the text map – the children have shown great curiosity when researching facts. In History, the children took part in a debate. They created arguments on which building is more impressive – the British Library or the House of Wisdom.
This week in Year 6, we have been learning about a creations story in Hinduism which has prompted some great discussion questions. In Art we have been exploring the work of Paul Nash, a war artist, which will help inspire their own propaganda posters. In ICT, we have been finishing editing and filming their adverts and moving onto more advanced editing features. In Freeflow, their projects are reaching the conclusion as the children start to put the finishing touches on – updates and pictures to follow next week!
