Year One and Two Highlights

This week, Year 1 had a very exciting hook lesson for Talk for Writing. We are learning a new text 'Jack and the beanstalk', and to our surprise a Giant left Year 1 a letter in the corridor to warn them about coming to his castle! The Giant appeared whilst we were reading his letter and began throwing paper and shouting at us to leave, after this we wrote our own responses to the Giant which we thoroughly enjoyed.

To introduce the topic of space, Year 2 were given a variety of activities to complete. This included the children making rockets out of junk modelling, paper aeroplanes and creating space pictures and books about the planets.
